Happy Hour Crawl: Fishtown |
Cedar Point Bar & Kitchen (2370 E Norris St; 215-423-5400; Happy Hours 6-7 PM Tu.-Fri., 10-12 PM Mon-Fri.)
Cedar Point has a very different feel than Loco PEZ. It is quite spacious, with a modern-industrial feel similar to Barcade and Frankford Hall. Another bar with exposed brick and ventilation, there’s a natural comfort when you take a seat at the bar or one of the high-tops.
The local beers and menu of contemporary comfort food reflect their commitment to Philadelphia. They have 14 taps of American craft ales and lagers, as well as a rotating cask on handpump, with a menu that classifies the different styles for you. Even their cocktails are broken down between classics, coolers, and creative options.
We’re finishing our crawl here because of its second happy hour timeslot. Over the course of the previous four bars, we might have gotten enthralled in a game or a taco and lost track of time. From 10-12 every weeknight, take $2 off select drafts, $1 off the old standbys, and half off wings. From start to finish, we only walked one mile so you might not have worked up enough of a hunger, so come on back here and head the other way. Happy drinking folks, and get home safe.
