2013 Philadelphia Wine & Food Festival Recap [PHOTOS]
Turns out 600 different labels is a lot of wine. Sure, it should have seemed apparent from just looking at the number, but after sipping and swirling and tasting and talking about all those different vintages, it really hits you (in a good way).
Vintners and importers from all over the world descended on Lincoln Financial Field last Friday for the 2013 Philadelphia Wine & Food Festival. Drink Philly was there, and we saw (and swallowed) wines from as close as Chester County to as far away as New Zealand. There were entries from California, sure, but also from unlikely places like Utah.
There was bubbly for the taking, from Perrier Jouet, and nibbles to eat from several area restaurant. A tailor had even set up on site — Indochino is in Philadelphia from May 10–27 —- and was taking measurements and fitting suits right then and there (a few swigs of wine must make a much easier sell).
All in all it was a lot of fun. Check out the photos and join us there next year.
